FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Will there be a bus or parking at the grounds?
    Buses will be running between town and the Rodeo Grounds commencing at 2.30pm from the Information Centre. Last bus leaves the Rodeo Grounds at 8.30pm Thursday and 12.30am Friday. Parking is available on site, via the Speedway entrance from 2.30pm. 2 Wattle Dr, Broome. ENTRY ONLY VIA SPEEDWAY. NO PARKING ALONG HIGHWAY. Please follow signs and parking attendants' instructions on arrival. Parking spaces may be limited, so consider carpooling, arriving early or catching the bus.   • I've changed my mind; can I receive a refund?
    In short no. We are a non-for profit event so please ensure you choose your tickets carefully. We understand that some circumstances are out of your control however. If this is you, email your request to broomerodeoclub@yahoo.com.au and we will assess your request on a case-by-case basis.
  • What time do gates open?
    Gates to the Speedway open at 2.30pm. Rodeo starts 3.30pm sharp. The main Rodeo Ground gates will be locked at 1pm to all patrons, competitors included.
  • How do I buy tickets?
    Tickets are available for purchase online or at the event gate. We offer single-day tickets and family passes.
  • What are the ages for kids tickets?
    Kids
  • Is the Broome Rodeo family friendly?
    Yes! Thursday night is specifically for families. There will be face painting and there will be activities for the kids during intermission!
  • Does my competitor wristband get me into the bar?
    Yes, but you still need an over-18s wrist band. If you are not competing but are camping you will require a General Admission wristband to gain entry to the bar.
  • Do I need to wear a helmet?
    Riders under the age of 18 must wear helmets whilst mounted on a horse. Encouragement riders must wear a helmet whilst riding. Helmets can SAVE lives.
  • Can I bring my dog?
    For safety and hygiene reasons, pets are not permitted at the rodeo event, except for service animals. Please make arrangements for your pets before attending. Dogs are allowed on leash during the day at the campdraft.
  • Can I camp at the grounds?
    Camping is only available for competitors in the campdraft and rodeo for the duration of the Broome Rodeo and Campdraft. Check out Broome accommodation, including hotels, motels, caravan parks and Airbnbs.
  • Are there food and drinks available at the event?
    Yes! A variety of food trucks and vendors will be available, offering everything from snacks to full meals. Refreshments, including coffee, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages, will also be available for purchase.
  • Do I need to bring my own seating?
    Yes! BYO picnic blankets and chairs.
  • Can I volunteer at the event?
    Yes! We welcome volunteers. If you're interested in helping out, please fill out the volunteer form on our website or contact us for more details.
